Where is the tax number required?

- when opening a bank account;
- when buying real estate;
- to pay the state duty when obtaining a residence permit;
- at registration of a company in Turkey;
- when paying any type of taxes.

Tax number in Turkey can be easily obtained online at ivd.gib.gov.tr

On the main page, go to the "Yabancılar İçin Potansiyel Vergi Kimlik Numarası" section. Next, you will be asked to fill out a simple form, and then click on the "OK" button. That's it, now you have a Turkish Tax Number! 

If the system gives an error, it is possible that you have received a tax number before. In order to check whether the number was registered in your name, you need to click on the button "Confirmation" and fill out the form.
