1)The number of users in libraries in Turkey has exceeded 33 million

Taner Beyoğlu, Director General of Libraries and Publications at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, announced that the number of public libraries is 1298 and the number of users has exceeded 33 million.

2)"Beyond the Line" exhibition opened at Nevmekan Sahil Gallery

Calligrapher Savaş Çevik's "Beyond the Line" (Çizgi Ötesi)  exhibition consisting of his recent works met with art lovers.

3) Stars of classical music will take the stage at the 52nd Istanbul Music Festival!

The  52nd Istanbul Music Festival, organized by the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (IKSV), will take place between May 21 and June 12. Distinguished orchestras and important soloists from around the world will take the stage at the festival.

4)'Sarcophagus' found for the first time in Diyarbakır

A Roman sarcophagus was found during the excavation between the bastion numbered 75 and Saint George Church in the 4th stage of the 5,000-year-old Diyarbakır city walls, which is on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List. The sarcophagus was the first one found in the city.

5)Istanbul Modern will be open to visitors on April 11 and 12

Istanbul Modern, which will be closed on the first day of Eid al-Fitr, will host for the  art lovers on April 11 and 12.

Art lovers will be able to visit the exhibitions 'Floating Islands', 'Ozan Sağdıç: The Photographer's Testimony', 'Timeless Curiosities' and 'Renzo Piano: The Spirit of Place' exhibitions.
