1)SULTANAHMET MOSQUE
It is also known as the Blue mosque because it is decorated with blue, green and white coloured Iznik tiles.
The mosque, built by the architect Sedefkar Mehmet Aga for Sultan Ahmed I between 1609 and 1616, is the first mosque of the period with 6 minarets.
Sultan Ahmet Mosque is a mosque on the UNESCO World Heritage List. In 1985, it was taken under protection by UNESCO and added to the list of World heritage sites. Sultan Ahmet Mosque is one of the largest mosques in the city where it is located. In the courtyard of the mosque, there are not only places of worship, but also places such as baths, tombs and darishşüfa.
2)SYNAGOGUE OF AHRIDDA
This place located in Balat in İstanbul.The Ahrıdda Synagogue is named after the city of Ohrid in today's North Macedonia, the hometown of its founders who emigrated to Istanbul.The teva of the synagogue resembles the prow of a ship and there are two rumours about this. According to one rumour, this form is reminiscent of Noah's Ark, while according to another belief, it symbolises the Ottoman galleys that brought the Seferads from Spain to the Ottoman Empire.
3)ESHAB-I KEYF CAVE OR CAVE OF THE SEVEN SLEEPERS
This cave mentioned in Surah Kehf in the Holy Quran is considered sacred by Muslims and Christians. You can go down to the cave after 15-20 steps.
According to the legend, which is told in different sources with different details, seven Christian youths (these are Malta, Malchus, Martinianus, Dionysius, Yohannes, Serapion and Constantine, whose names are given differently in many sources) living in the time of Emperor Decius around 250 AD. In Islam, Debernush, Mesliha, Kafeştateyyush, Sazınush, Mekselina, Mermuş, Yemliha and their dog Kıtmir) refused to offer sacrifices to the temple where the emperor was deified and took refuge in a cave when they were threatened with death. The ruler orders a wall to be built at the entrance of the cave. The Seven Sleepers fall asleep after a while. The young people wake up and go to the city to buy food, unaware of everything. When Yemliha, who wants to buy bread from a bakery, gives the old money, he learns that they are no longer in the time of Decius (249-251) but in the time of Theodosius II (408-450) and that they slept with their friends not only for one night but for 200 years.
4)HAGİA İRENE CHURCH
This church is the first church belong to Byzantine.
Hagia Irene or Hagia Eirene means "Holy Peace" in the dictionary; but she is also a saint who lived in the same century.
After the hearing about the story of İrene Emperor Constantine named the first temple of the monotheistic religion he built upon this extraordinary event as Hagia Irene.
5)DEYRULUMUR MONASTERY
The monastery is one of the famous and great monuments of the Syriac Ancient Community. It was built on a high hill covered with oak trees. The foundations of the monastery were laid by Mor Shmuel and Mor Shemun in 397 and the building was completed in a short time. Additions were made inside and outside at different dates.
